NME Students enjoyed being chemists in Mrs. Liz’s after school science
lab.  They learned about the chemical element Copper (Cu) and what
happens to it when immersed in a vinegar/salt mixture.  The vinegar/salt
solution removed the copper oxide from the pennies, leaving a clean
copper surface on each penny.  The students were impressed and asked
questions pertaining to the experiment.  We all concluded that SCIENCE
IS COOL!
