NMCR-1 Title 1 Schoolwide Plan
NMCR-1 Title 1 Schoolwide Plan NMCR-1 has developed a comprehensive plan to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed in reading and mathematics. Our Title 1 schoolwide plan utilizes AimsWeb Plus for all students grades Kindergarten through 12th by which their math and reading abilities are assessed. Students who demonstrate the highest need through this assessment receive additional “tiered” instruction Tiered instruction began in the New Madrid County R-1 School District during the 2009-2010 school year. It was expanded to Central Middle School in 2018-2019, and to Central High School in 2021-22. Each student meeting the criteria is progress monitored each week and benchmarked at the appropriate time. Principals oversee the entire process in each building. Each teacher reviews their reports each week. Response to intervention (RtI) meetings are in place at each building to review the increases or decreases of student performance. Students are placed in the supplemental English Language Arts or Math supplemental intervention based upon their performance. Additional information about this plan may be obtained by visiting with your child’s building principal.
