We are aware of a recent social media trend where students are using threats in an attempt to cancel school. Unfortunately, this trend has now reached New Madrid County R1 School District.
While the threat has been determined to be unsubstantiated and part of the trend, please know that we are taking it seriously. The safety and security of our schools is always our top priority, and we have been in close contact with school leaders and law enforcement to ensure a safe environment for all.

• The school week will proceed as usual, with increased law enforcement presence and continued vigilance.
• The investigation is ongoing, and there will be consequences for anyone participating in this trend.
• We urge parents to remind their children not to repost or spread threatening messages online.

HS Volleyball will participate in the Dig For Life volleyball tournament at the Cape Sportsplex this weekend. HS Volleyball will play Valle Catholic at 4:00p and Puxico at 7:00p.
HS Football will travel to Dexter to take on the Bearcats. Kickoff is at 7:00p.
Good evening Eagle Family! Just a quick reminder that doors to the high school will not open until 7:30 every morning. To ensure student safety, students should not be dropped off prior to this time.

There will be a meeting for Letterman Jackets on Monday, September 16th, at 9:00am in the High School Commons. This meeting will be for students to get sized and gather information regarding the total cost of the jacket.
Jackets must be paid for in full before the order will be placed.

Congratulations to all the students who were invited and applied to be members of NMCC's Senior Beta Club! This is our first year inviting Freshmen to join, and we are excited to see what they will bring to the table! There will be a short induction ceremony held next Wednesday, September 4th, at 5:00 PM in the NMCC Commons. Parents and family members are welcome, and we would love to see you there!
A reminder to ALL Beta Club members, new inductees and returning members: Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, in Mrs. Kimball's room (C109). You can attend the morning meeting (7:30 AM) or the afternoon meeting (right after the bell rings), but are not required to attend both.
Reminder: NMCR1 schools will not be in session on Monday September 2nd in observance of Labor Day
