The senior class had a blast today on their senior trip to Six Flags!


Due to field conditions the Softball game scheduled for today has been cancelled.


Boys Baseball SEMO conf tournament starts tomorrow. Nmcc will play at 4:30 vs Cape Central at Cape Central.

Senior decision day will be on May 4th starting at 9:30 AM in the auditorium. Please enter through the gym doors. Parents and family are welcome to attend. This is sponsored by TSC and SkillsUSA. Please RSVP to Dallas Allen at dallen@nmcr1.org by Monday, May 1st before the end of the school day.

On May 4th, the New Madrid County Central Technical skills banquet will start at 8:30 AM in the auditorium. Please enter through the gym doors. This will be for seniors who take an AM TSC class. Seniors who take an afternoon TSC class will have their banquet starting at 1 PM that day. Senior parents and family are invited to attend.

Representative Donnie Brown brought pizzas and a house resolution for our boys basketball team to congratulate them on being state champs. Thank you Rep Brown.


Today's HS Softball Game 4/21/2023 has been cancelled. working on reschedule date


All seniors will participate in SkillsUSA national signing day on May 4th for their “decision day.” We will recognize all seniors and their future plans, whether they are attending college, a trade school, the army, workforce, etc. It will start at 8:30 AM in the auditorium. Parents are welcome to attend. Please contact Mrs. Dallas Allen at the high school for any questions.

Student Council is hosting a blood drive May 12th from 8:30-1:30.


The NMCC golf team placed 5th at the four ball tournament today at caruthersville. They shot a score of 85 as a team.


18 seniors registered for college classes today for Three Rivers Community College!


Our third track and field coaching spotlight is Coach Danna Woods.
We appreciate all that Coach Woods does for our student athletes!
Q- Why did you get into teaching/coaching?
A-To encourage and motivate young minds to be successful.
Q-What do you enjoy most about being a coach?
A-I love seeing the improvement and watching athletes achieve goals that they didn't think were possible.
Q-How long have you been coaching and what sports do you coach?
A-This is year 18 for me. I am our head girls basketball coach and also coach track
Q-How long have you been coaching track and field and what events do you coach?
A-This is year 18 of coaching track and I coach long jump and triple jump
Q- When you are not teaching/coaching what are you doing in your spare time?
A-Traveling, seeing new places and having new adventures


High school track and field will compete at Malden today. Field events will start at 3:45 and running events at 4.

Thursday 3/20/23 Portageville @ NMCC softball game start time has changed from 4:30pm to 4pm.

Prom attendees have voted from the King and Queen which will be announced immediately following the Grand March.
Grand March starts at 8pm on Saturday night, with the doors opening at 7pm.

Nmcc golf didn’t bring home a victory on Thursday against poplar bluff. They were lead by Waylon Harris with a 45. Several other players shot their lowest score of the year.

Our next track and field coach we would like to spotlight is coach Victoria Duenne.
We appreciate all of the hard work she puts in for our student athletes!
Q-Why did you get into teaching/coaching?
A-I have always loved being physically active and participating in sports. By becoming a physical education teacher and coach I wanted to be able to share that passion with students and athletes.
Q-What do you enjoy most about being a coach?
A-I love continuing to learn and grow within the sports that I coach even if they are ones that I have participated in. There is always room for growth. I also enjoy helping my athletes reach their goals, big or small.
Q-How long have you been coaching and what other sports do you coach?
A-I have been a coach at NMCC for 2 years… high school girls basketball and middle school/high school track.
Q-How long have you been coaching track and field and what events do you coach?
A-This will be my second year with the track program and I coach distance events and high jump.
Q-When you are not teaching/coaching what are you doing in your spare time?
A-I enjoy running half-marathons, playing with my dog (Daisy Mae), spending time with my family and friends, playing basketball and soccer, being outdoors, traveling, and working on my Dad’s farm.
