If you have a student who will be entering 8th or 12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year they will need the following immunizations. 8th graders will need a Tdap and MCV and 12th graders will need the MCV.

MS Softball Game tomorrow 4/22 has been cancelled no reschedule date
The MS baseball game against Risco has been cancelled!!
They will practice at Lilbourn field after school today.
Next week is the start of MAP testing for our students. Please help us in preparing the students to give their best effort and be ready to test (Chromebook charged, plenty of rest, positive mindset). Also, during this time it is important to avoid early sign-outs during your students' testing period.

Reminder today at 1:00 pm, NMCC will be hosting a mock car accident. This mock crash will be presented in cooperation with Missouri Department of Transportation, New Madrid Police Department, New Madrid County Ambulance, Missouri State Highway Patrol, New Madrid County Sheriff's Department, Sullivans Towing, Lilbourn Fire Department and the New Madrid Fire Department.
We just want to let our community know the vehicles are already staged on CR502 and that there will be lights and sirens coming on campus during this time so that everyone knows there isn’t a real emergency at school.
Update: Middle School Softball will play after High School Softball today on Davis Street
The middle school track and field team will compete at kennett tomorrow (4/10) Field events will start at 3:45 and running events at 4:15.
The middle school meet that was re-scheduled for today has been cancelled due to no officials.

Due to the severe weather threat that will be in our area this afternoon and the timing from the National Weather Service. NMCR-1 Schools will dismiss at 1:30 pm. We want to assure that our students and staff are home safe and to allow busses time to return to campus. There will be no afterschool activities, practices or tutoring.

The NMCC High School Boys’ Basketball team has advanced to the Missouri Class 3 State Boys Basketball Championships. They will compete at the Great Southern Bank Arena, 685 S. John Q Hammons Pwy Springfield, MO 65807.
Because of this accomplishment, the New Madrid County R-1 School Board has graciously agreed to dismiss school on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 1:15 PM and Friday all day so that students and community members can make travel arrangements to attend this great competition to support our athletes. This has traditionally been done so that all that want to attend may do so.
