Due to widespread county road closures, New Madrid County R-1 School District will not be in session on Monday, April 7, 2025. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Current travel conditions, including several bus routes that are underwater and numerous road closures throughout the county, make it unsafe for buses and personal vehicles. This closure will also allow local agencies time to inspect and repair roads that are essential for safe travel. We are grateful to all those who have worked countless hours to help keep our communities safe. Thank you for your understanding. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. Please stay safe.
